The Abatement Of An Ancient Museum

It's been there for more than a century. People who passes by often treated it as a lucky charm to the town. It brought nothing but fortune to the town since it was built. It had shaped the town to how it is today. One day, a group of suited guys came to the town while holding a huge paper which seems to be a blueprint. They were pointing all over the museum. It was then the mayor of the town announced that these were the developers who's going to help in developing the town and turning it into a city. Everyone in the town protest as the developer intend to demolish the ancient old museum which it used to be the very heart of the town. Some of them even lived their whole life watching this museum. Nothing can be done as the mayor had already signed the contract with the developer. Yet, the people of the town wishes to express their sadness and frustration in doing so. They were hoping that the developer were conscience enough to stop the abatement but they did not frail at all as if they were used to this kind of retaliation. They were filled with tears as the museum were being abated. Seeing the part of the museum being teared down one by one, some of them cried. They were disappointed in the mayor but at the same time they felt embarrassed as the centuries of history had been wiped out and their children didn't even had the chance to witness it. After a few years, the town had turned to a prosperous city but a catastrophe hit the city whereby the building falls, killing thousands. Since then, the city was abandoned as it cost too much to be recover from the catastrophe. It was also said that the city was haunted.
